Roman Zolotarenko – CEO of BrainRocket

Early Years

Roman Zolotarenko was born in 1985 and spent his childhood in the Ukrainian city of Dniprodzerzhynsk (now Kamianske). His family lived modestly: his father worked at a local factory throughout his life, while his mother was a homemaker.

In 2022, the family emigrated to Israel through his mother’s side and lived there for a year and a half. They later returned to Ukraine, where Roman completed his secondary education.

After finishing school, Roman enrolled at the International Solomon University (ISU), studying Economics from 2004 to 2008. He then continued his education at the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman, successfully completing a program in Finance and Economics (2009–2010).

Career

Roman’s first job was as a sales consultant, where he gained hands-on sales experience. He was later invited to join Raiffeisen Leasing as an assistant sales manager, working there from 2007 to 2012 and growing to the position of Senior Sales Manager through dedication and hard work.

He then moved to a big Ukrainian railway logistics company, where he spent eight years further developing his professional expertise as a financial manager.

From 2020 until 2023, Roman worked in C-level positions in the IT industry. In 2023, he then assumed the position of CEO at BrainRocket.

As CEO of BrainRocket, Roman leverages his financial expertise and clear, focused leadership to drive the company’s growth and innovation. His role centers on guiding strategic initiatives, fostering technological development, and improving operational efficiency to ensure sustainable success.

Before becoming CEO, he served as Head of Treasury and later as Financial Manager, overseeing cash flow, investments, and liabilities. He implemented strategies aimed at safeguarding liquidity, minimizing risk, and maximizing returns. Today, he applies this experience to lead BrainRocket’s technology and business operations, manage budgeting processes, uphold strong financial governance, and ensure that the company’s products and services consistently exceed client expectations.

Throughout his career, Roman has led high-performing teams, built strong stakeholder relationships, and delivered measurable results. He remains committed to supporting BrainRocket’s continued growth, innovation, and excellence.

Personal Life

Roman has been married for more than ten years and is a proud father of two children.
